Electronic recordings started with the whole band playing at the same time and being recorded with one mike hanging down in the center stage , this was one pass, after recording the song it was finished, if it wasn't liked it was played all over again, until the song was accepted by he producers. This brought about multi-track recording, if somebody didn't show-up all wasn't lost. This also bought about creating music that couldn't be produce live and other things too that became unorthodox.
The new technology has left the average musician far behind, the new non-weighted keyboards the ones without a regular touch and feel like the grand piano but have a floating touch & feel was refused by almost 99% of the professional keyboard players around the world.
